Why is there no director career in Get Famous?
The acting career is cool and all but the idea of being a writer for a hit movie or creator of a TV is appealing as well. Why is there no directing branch?

and technically, since you can build a stage and a set on your own lots, you could play with your sim as a director, use your other sims as actors and create a short movie if you really wanted to.
