Why is there no effort put into pre-mades’ family trees and ancestors?

I found that I mean even the Sims 1 had back story’s for the Sims in the Sims 2 we had life & death And more social interactions are story progression the Sims 3 you had a real living world NPC’s would live and die Have kids as your sims did and an open world. The Sims 4 is different we do not have storylines or progression a sim does and that’s it the NPC’s don’t have kids (usually). I had a family one and by the time I got to my 3rd generation the only place that had any life was the active career lotsthe sims 5 needs to fix all that.
