I would try turning off Sim autonomy. If that does not work, start removing mods. If that fails, remove all cc beds. Sims4studio now has a batch fix for old cc beds. If that and renaming your mods folder fails, it is a game bug that needs to be reported and fixed. You can also try repairing your game with the old mods in the renamed folder.

If removing the beds helps, run the batch fix from the program at sims4studio.com when you put them back in. If you use a lot of mods or cc in your game, always have a no cc save handy.

Removing bed or buying a new one did not help. And I don't have any mods or CC and never have.

I checked answer headquarters and didn't see anything recent so you may want to start a bug report.

Well it sounds like Crinrict is actually saying having it against the wall breaks it. Or at least it did in the past like you just said.
"This has been a general issue if you put the bed against the wall"

I may have had this bug once in the past so I can't speak from experience. I don't know much about it. If you have tried both ways and it's still broken then I've no other ideas. :# sorry

I feel you with the Q thing. I had trouble just yesterday trying to get my sim to make omelets. Everything had been going well up to that point, then I noticed her just standing there. ??? The icon for her to be doing something was gone. So I clicked on the bowl for her to resume. She mixed a little then quit. Resume. Quit. RESUME! QUIT! Fine. I scrapped the omelets had her make something else and she was okay with that. I have also noticed that I have q'd her up to do a few things and a few would disappear so she could get to the one I guess she wanted to do. I admit I like autonomy, but this is just willful disobedience. Kinda like... me.

When I had this issue a while ago, I placed a chair near the toddler bed and voila: The parent could not sit in the toddler bed, but he could sit on the chair beside the bed and there he was able to read the toddler to sleep. I don't know if this works still but it is worth a try. :)

I think I saw a post somewhere that said if you're having issues the parent and toddler may need to be in the room with the bed together before you click the interaction. Maybe try that?
