Then you just close the option menu I guess. Usually I hit pause and then hit play and that works. Once nothing worked though, my sim was frozen, I think I had to restart the game.
Yeah, just leave it up for a few seconds and then close it. I'm not sure what causes the unresponsiveness, because it happens randomly, and in most of my saves.
