What would bring me back to machinima? Original storylines. I don't want to see the 10th teen girl in a row getting impregnated by some random guy at a party. I also don't want the 10th teen girl in a row getting bullied by popular girls because she's a nerd (while in reality, said popular girls are just jealous of her BeAuTY). That's boring and there's nothing original about that. I'm not saying that every single Sims 4 machinima is like this, but the vast majority of popular ones on YouTube are either about mental disorders or pregnancy, and it's just sad to see that people can't seem to come up with new ideas.
That is, there are some good ones out there, they are just much harder to find than your generic high school story. But because they are so hard to find I stopped bothering about machinimas.
@Huiiie_07 This is interesting. I wonder if Sims 4 machinima is easier to make? Or maybe the younger generation is just more tech savvy and figured it out quicker? That would explain why all the teen drama. The teens I know are also really into Korean soaps, which are high on teen drama, so maybe they're copying that? I've seen some of the stuff you're talking about and it is indeed unoriginal and annoying. Having said that, my favorite machinima artist (besides Remi of course) is a teen and has a very original series called 'Robin'. So not saying all teen machinima makers do the 'high school beautiful/nerdy/eventually pregnant' story.
Would starting a new thread highlighting GOOD machinima be of interest to you? Just wondering.
