I just read somewhere today, but I can't remember where, that we can add something to the washing machine to make the clothes smell good or smell bad. I don't know why or how that would work, but I'm thinking the flower is the smell good setting and the fish is the smell bad setting.
It's late and I'm falling asleep so I couldn't find the reference I was thinking about, but if I find it tomorrow I'll add a link.
