Interesting! They obviously don't grow according to the exact same logarithm, I just visited the lot where I planted 4 grow trees + 4 wild grow trees. The latter has grown, but the non-wild are still showing nothing green. If they were coded identically, they should grow equally.
Btw; Clicking at the wild plants gave the option like "Remove plant" before they started to grow, but now that there are actual plants, this option is no longer there. It might be a hint that one should remove wild species because they will give less benefits in the long run. If not building in quality, one would probably prefer the non-wild version, even when just using it as fertilizer.
I'll check these plants in a couple sim days, interesting to see how they differ.
