Will current worlds ever be bigger?

Was the plan not to put Magnolia Promnade in Willow Creek and that failed so we got a 4 lot world?

I feel like we're gonna get either:

More expansive worlds (like Sulani) where your Sims can wander to but not really do anything or

More lots in a small setting (like The Crumbling Isle in Windenburg)

That would be so nice. Hopefully it will be possible for the game devs to edit the tiny worlds & add some more lots to it.
But, realistically they probably won't.

I hope they add the hospital and police station neighbourhood to Magnolia Promenade's map, but otherwise I don't think so. Hopefully we'll continue to get some updates to current worlds like stalls and rinks with Seasons - hopefully swimmable water.

I don't think they can edit the current worlds much, without breaking our saves.

There's no money to be made from doing it, so it won't happen.

As much as I’d like a revival of the old world organization, they’ve unfortunately made it clear that there’s a new order to it. Looking at the um bright side, at least the graphics are amazing? ?

I honestly don't mind worlds with small amount of lots

the real problem is when they make huge world full of fx housing and all the lots are super far apart and randomly placed / isolated in the fx surrounding

or when world simply isn't interesting enough or has nothing to do off lot

tbh if it was up to me i would just delete newcrest and replace some fx buildings with lots in pack worlds : / i never use newcrest cause it just feels like willow creek made ugly
