Not sure if "fated mate" comes with the werewolf pack or with the pre-pack-patch. It sounds like a system where each sim has a "perfect match" chosen by the game, and that I assume we must search a while to find. I'm bummed about this too. I really wanted a storyline of a werewolf "Fated Mate" with like a vampire or spellcaster or even regular sim. Ya know, Star Crossed lovers style lol. I like mixed couples, In my Occult saves I rarely ever have an occult end up with the same occult type.

I'm not a huge fan of the trope (I've seen it in fae stories too) but maybe I can use it if I get the pack. I definitely would NOT want it to be across the different species.

Apparently it triggers when flirting with another werewolf. They haven't said if they mean the first wolf you flirt with, or just a random time you flirt with a wolf even if you've flirted with wolves in the past.

Hopefully they only mean player-initiated flirting too. That way you get to narrow down the options by only flirting with those you like.

What about accidental flirting? Is it only player triggered, because Sims do autonomously flirt with each other. Are there safeguards or can they not be allowed to interact with anyone alone?

From what I read, it is only player triggered. The "Fated Mate" unlockable werewolf trait only has a chance to unlock when you, the player, direct your werewolf sim to flirt with another werewolf sim. Autonomous flirting won't trigger it. (or at least shouldn't. If it does, it's a glitch)
