So if I understand it correctly, the game won't pick a match that you don't want. Because it only runs a check on the person you're flirting with. It doesn't pick your mate out of the whole cast of sims in your game (unless you flirt with every one of them).
Of course you could have a desired match that the game decides is not a fated mate.
I see how some people might not like that, but still, it seems like in that situation we can still have all the regular non-were close relationships including spouse and soulmate, even if the person is not the werewolf fated mate.
I'm okay with it as long as it doesn't interfere where we don't want it too. That's always my fear with something like this, how heavy handed and intrusive is it?
This is where I'm at. I actually used to hate the attraction system in Sims 2(I believe it was that one). I found it kind of intrusive. They wouldn't be attracted to who I wanted/needed them to for my story but would end up being attracted to people they are supposed to hate and it drove me crazy I had to spend so much time editing and changing things to drive the story I wanted to tell.
I'm nervous about unintended consequences. I know it's
supposed to be werewolf only. I probably wouldn't be so nervous if I didn't have a story that I couldn't be happier with the way the relationships are working out. If it works as intended I'm okay with it and will, I'm sure, find a use for it at some point. The way neighborhood stories went bonkers is a big source of my nervousness. Was it intended to go overboard like it did? Or was that unintended? If this does something unintended what damage could it do to current relationships? I hope it works.?
