Will our hamsters die if we send our sims on vacation?

This is one question that hasn't been answered. I want to assume they won't because dogs and cats seem to be taken care of when sims go on vacation but the one thing I'd worry about is the hamster starving.

  • I doubt they will.. unless it's a bug. Then they'll fix it. You can go on vacation and leave others at home so why not the rodents.
  • Graham said hamsters only need to be actively taken care of while you're on the lot. When you're not on the same lot, they're considered taken care of (or paused). It goes for both residential and community lots.

Oh good cause my sims generally take 7 days or longer on vacations.

If you have Jungle Adventure, complete the Jungle Explorer aspiration. You get extra and/or more valuable and rare relics when you excavate dig sites or open treasure chests. After I completed it and got the Treasure Hunter trait, I got over $30k simoleons just from opening the final treasure chest in the temple. Then you can afford anything without cheats.

Thanks! This is good to know. I always forget you can switch aspirations.
  • I did actually ask because it was a concern of mine, too. Vacation is quite important, you know? lol

  • Yeah, and once you've maxed out the archaeology skill you can get sent artefacts to authenticate for people and you get paid ££££'s and its a piece of cake to rake in the monies - my sims get sent them almost everyday.. I got my sim to quit her last job because I had so much money I didn't know what to do with it all ^^
