- I have an update on my status. My fragile little laptop finally gave up the ghost. Hard drive. Hubby, who is my hero, took it with him to work to see if he could get it looked at. He did and then promptly purchased a gaming laptop for me. He brought it home on Thursday evening. We got it set up, via Windows 11 and I finally got to play my back up game save a bit. I cannot get over the picture I'm getting. I thought it was my poor, bad eyes that was causing my images to look less than crisp. So, I promptly pre-ordered For Rent on Friday. Looking forward to seeing all it has to offer.

- Soooo - I thought I would wait for a sale, but hey-ho, a week ago I preordered. I normally don't preorder packs and the few times I bought a pack early enough to grab the 3 bonus items I hardly ever used those items anyway. But my gaming style is very "administrative" and I totally need both the landlord feature and the world. I actually wish I had waited, because it would be smarter to focus on RL in December... :)
- @Simmerville, Think of it this way- All of us deserve a gift of our own during the holidays! There is nothing wrong with treating ourselves once in a while. I know I don't often buy a lot for myself, but when I see a pack I want I do buy it. Enjoy the new pack!

My only reservation was the potential for glitches. Then I found out the sad truth. I have no problem with a loading screen to switch control between households, but we have to do that just to visit? And we lose sight of the family members who are still at home? How is that better than Apartment Life? Why can't they make something better than Apartment Life all these years later?- First time for me saying this, but I'm going to wait it out on this EP. I have had a great run with Sims-starting with Sims 1. But it's starting to get somewhat ridicules. Worlds are smaller, fewer lots. Content isn't all that great. I'm sure many will find this EP pleasurable and enjoy themselves.
- I still plan on getting this pack sooner rather than later, but seeing how badly this patch affected mods is making me grateful I decided to cave and buy Horse Ranch on the last day of the recent big sale. Along with getting MFPS for free, I have plenty to keep me occupied for at least a while.
I'm still so anxious for real apartments though! I can't wait to fill the sleazy run-down motel in the back corner of Newcrest with sims I don't like. :naughty: - I'm going to wait until they have done some serious bug fixing and it goes on sale. I definitley would like it, but I'm not desperate. I still have plenty of other features I haven't explored in my game yet. :)
