World Packs!

(This thread partially links in to my other thread, see here.)
In the Sims 3, they had a feature on the store where you could just buy an entire new world and what you got was basically just a world and nothing else. This added a lot more worlds to play in in the game, without adding entirely new packs. There isn't really much variety in worlds in this game, so I was thinking it would be cool if they did a similar idea with TS4! Similar to a stuff pack they could add a new pack type called a "World Pack" costing $10-$15 for each one and what you'd get would be a brand new full world to play in but there wouldn't be any other content.

These worlds could be base game compatible, with only base game assets used, or they could be like an extension to existing concepts. For example if you own City Living, you could buy another city world as a world pack. This world would have a different vibe to city living (for example it could be a beach city) but it would be another full blown city that you could play in and explore. There wouldn't be any new content with this pack or any new gameplay but it would use a ton of assets from city living like the build-buy, apartment functionality, etc! Then there could be other worlds in tons of different styles, I think it would be a good way of getting some new worlds in the game without having to build an entire pack for them and would add a lot more gameplay options!

They could also do worlds like a Sunset Valley beach town type world, with a small town by the sea with beach lots to visit. An other-worldly world like Lunar Lakes, an old school inspired world like Roaring Heights, another island world, etc etc. Obviously The Sims 4 is likely getting near to its end at this point and there probably won't be that many more expansion packs to include worlds with, so this would be a good way of getting a ton more worlds to play with without hundreds of packs!
I'm not an expert on games development, but I feel like it's easy enough for them to build up a world since in past games it was open for players to do it. And without having to add tons of new stuff with it these world packs shouldn't be too hard to develop, I'm guessing to create just a world would take around the same amount of work as a stuff pack so $10-15 would be a fitting price for these packs and it would really bring a lot more options to the game!
  • I like the notion of adding more worlds. We're so very limited currently. I would hope these worlds wouldn't be miniscule, though. Del Sol Valley is really small. One tiny house unoccupied? And no real vacant lots to build upon? Come on. I replaced the sorry excuse for a CA bungalow for something nicer. And I put a player made park right next door, too. But, my other added family had to move into Willow Creek. Hope they have a chance to run into my main household teens at school. Oh, and I went on a hunt for a gym for Del Sol Valley. Yes, it has a gym already, but I wanted my Sims to be able to rock climb. I have no idea where the gym is that came with that pack. But, I found a gym I liked. I downloaded three before I hit pay dirt. LOL
