- I want them fixed but maybe not as eagerly as the poll option indicates. I'd like to carry them around and maybe have an interactive mobile for them, as well as crawling. That's about it, aside from the few CAS options. It's a lifestage that feels ignored to me. Given that you can still age them up whenever you please, I don't see how making this better for people who want better babies would be an issue, so long as devs are still fixing things like the leaf piles ?
- moxiegraphixRising NoviceI haven't played with babies since ts1. The second I learned there was a cheat to age them up early, I started doing it. It wouldn't affect my gameplay at all, but if other people want updated babies and get them, it's not like I would complain. It's important to some people.
- I'd prefer to see elders get some love. :)
- purplestarz2006New SpectatorI wouldn’t necessarily say that babies should be top priority, but I think some updates would be nice. Personally I’m ok with them always being in an object; I would just like some more options of objects to put them in. Aside from some more choices for cribs, aplay mat, bouncer seat, and an option to wear the baby in a sling to take them places would go a long way.
- BusufuSeasoned HotshotBuggys please!
- @LSM36 I have spent time around babies, and while in reality you can teach them things, the point at which all your teaching really shows through and comes to fruition is when they hit about 2-3 (the toddler years) and can reciprocate and actively respond to what you're teaching them. Infants don't particularly do much other than need attention until they become mobile and develop communication skills during their toddler stage. So the accuracy of babies in the Sims is pretty spot on, and while it is a mild shame they are glorified items, they don't become interactive people until their toddler years. I mean, you can make faces and make them giggle, and comfort them from crying, but that's about the extent of how you interact with infants.
- I don't actually hate the baby stage, but I'd definitely want it updated.

We have a three-year old. We’ve just been through all that and babies are boring. They pretty much lie there screaming and pooping. What more do we need them to do in the game? Newborns (which is what TS4 babies are) do not crawl around. I’m not sure why so many people request that.
@So_money Toddlers can walk....that's where the term "toddler" comes from. Therefore, the stage where all the kid can do is crawl is part of the baby lifestage. That's why so many people request it. Right now, the game just skips that phase of development entirely, so I think it's natural for simmers who LIKE raising children to want more added to the baby stage to account for the pre-toddler development that occurs IRL.
I do agree with you that screaming poop-machines aren't particularly interesting. But then, that fact itself is a good argument in favor of adding more to the lifestage to include the development that occurs between "newborn" and "toddler". It's such a short period of time though (IRL, some babies actually skip the crawling entirely and go straight to walking) I don't see it as all that important so mostly I agree with you.- Like everyone else is saying I don't mind little option to the infants i rather have them work more to the games then worry about the babies.
- mariefoxprice83Seasoned HotshotI'd rather just have more content for toddlers and kids, honestly. I know there's the stuff packs, which I don't own because I just don't think they are value for money, but I wish there was more content for these age groups in the GPs and EPs.
