Would you like pre-teens?

I want more life stages or at least more height changes in general. I dislike how the sims transition rather than gtow.

I'd be fine with pre-teens added, but ONLY if they overhaul babies and giving more content to toddlers, children, and elders FIRST. I want to see the lacking life stages that are already in the game get some very well needed new content unique to each of them before ever adding a new one.

Heck yes I want preteens. I absolutely despise the teen stage because the age jump is just child to adult. There is zero difference between teen and adult. They do everything the adults do. I want younger teens that behave differently. Still childish with a dose of hormones. But mainly, I want them to look different from adults. Most of my born in game teens look older than their adult parents and that is absolutely ridiculous.

No. What the game needs, or the next sims game needs anyway is gradual aging. None of this life stages weirdness.

That's going to have to be a hard No for me, I do not want yet another kid age group throwing tantrums and snits every five seconds, it's hard enough to keep everyone out of the birthday cake long enough to age the precious little darlings up as it is. lol

I don't feel we need another lifestage. We need more for each lifestage to do. Every stage needs to be as fleshed out as the YA/adult ones. Right now the game feels unbalanced because so many activities for kids, teens and elders haven't been included in very many packs. It's at the point where each one of those needs an entire EP just to catch up a little bit to what the YAs have. I can understand kids and teens spending the bulk of their time indoors in San Myshuno because it mimics a big city, but then we have Brindleton Bay and Willow Creek which have great outdoor areas but nothing much for the kids and teens to do. Such as ride a bike or play together in a game of tag or even hide and seek. They can rummage around in trash cans looking for Void Critter cards then trade with other kids, but how many times can Sim kids do that before their collection is complete? They're supposed to be kids doing kid stuff with their friends. I'm not one to plop my kids down in front of a computer or gaming console just to pass the time before they need to go to bed. And the Sim teens have so little to do it's pathetic. The devs have used computers and gaming consoles to keep kids and teens entertained and fill their time which seems so lazy and overdone to the point it has become boring to play kids and teens at all. SimGuruNinja stated they have a lot of exciting new content coming for us in 2020 now that the classic packs have been released. I hope they get back to expanding on some much needed basics that have been overlooked far too long. The list is quite extensive in that area so they have a lot to do in 2020.

What I'd really want is what some others have said- teens that look like teens. I understand why they used the same frame as young adults and adults, but I wish they hadn't. I want to be able to tell when I'm chatting a Sim up if they are a teen or adult and I generally can't. If there was a way to fix it, I'd be for that.

I do have to say that it's somewhat humorous to me that I'm complaining about this since I am the same height right now at 40 that I was at 13- 5'8". I grew up fast. *shrug*. But this is a game.

If we’re talking about TS5, I want them to show a little ambition and do away with life-stages altogether. I want actual “real-time” aging, with gradual changes as time progresses and variations between sims as to when and to what degree these changes occur.

I don’t want to keep falling back on the snap-your-fingers sudden change to a different, predefined life-stage. It’s not good enough anymore.

At the very least, it would be cool for the a height/size different between children & teen. It's weird to me that they're small children before suddenly becoming miniature young adults. And maybe pre-teens would have a mixture of child & teen abilities?

Honestly will take anything new at this point.
