LOL Yes, of course they do. But then again, like Toddlers and Teens, they then determine if they're going to actually listen and do as you directed.

I doubt they hear, but of late there have been far more 4th wall breakthroughs in a particular game than 'normal'. There are times it seems as though the sim knows I'm present, that the game is an 'us' thing. Time to find another hobby?

I may or may not have answered calls from my daughter and my sister (who's played The Sims since 2004) that way. It's only a matter of time before I greet someone else with "Sul sul." So far I've only done it when their faces have popped up on my screen.

And, while we're discussing the phone, I know I've played too long when I decide to leave the house and pick up the phone instead of my keys.

@MoonlightGraham, in my case my phone is my keys. Both my car and my home can be unlocked from an app, rather than keys.

@Stormkeep Nice. I've heard of that app, but I don't have it.

Now, if we can tap our phone screens, select up to seven people we've met to accompany us, land on a map of the known universe, tap a location on the map, and arrive there after a brief loading screen, we'll be all set!

They do have a bad habit of procrastinating when I divinely prod them to perform certain tasks that please their majesty. Maybe I should smite one or two and see if they get the hint? When your Goddess tells you to do something, you get moving now!
