Your favourite kits?

After quite a lot of rumination I bought Castle estate and Riviera retreat as a christmas present for myself and it made me wonder... what are your favourite kits and why? šŸ˜Š

I use the book nook kit the most I think, that bookshelf is just so practical and I use it everywhere, and like several others I have enjoyed the everyday clutter-kit a lot. In general I tend to buy a kit when I see a specific use for it, so I bought the castle-kit to fix up Windenburg Cathedral (so far the only use I've had with it). I bought the Decor to the max when I played the 20s to get more art deco themed objects. I bought cozy kitsch for the same reason (50s) and have used it so much since purchase. It's quickly turning into a favorite and I literary have to stop myself from putting the items in every house. The artist studio went great with my new art centre, the bistro kit I also used there, and have used elsewhere. So yeah, I tend to buy what I know I will use. If I ranked them I think book nook kit as number 1, cozy kitsch at 2 (for the moment).

  • All the clutter kits are easily my favorites BB kits, they make the homes feel more personal and lived in
CAS kits would be Simtimates, Poolside splash and First Fits kit, the detail and different clothing added are nice šŸ™‚

I like items from all the kits, but I think I use these kits the most:

    • Blooming Rooms (more plant decor)
    • Greenhouse Haven (sheltered garden rooms)
    • Country Kitchen (appliances and decor)
    • Modern Luxe (tv, decor, furniture)
    • Pastel Pop (tablet computer)
    • outfits from several CAS kits
    • gameplay items from other kits not mentioned (vacuums, stereos, appliances)
  • There are so many to choose from and I don't have most of them. So below are my favorites:

    1. The Artist Studio: seeing my sim's creative side paint
    2. Crazy Bistro:  great stuff to use
    3. Rivera Retreat: every home should be a retreat
    4. Book Nook: where you can create a personal library
    5. Greenhouse Have: I'm a gardener at heart and I like to see my Sim to have their green thumb.

I'm not a big kit buyer, but I bought castle estate and love it. The look of the bb items is very good and I like that I can now build in this style and upload to the gallery without it being tagged as cc, so now people can see the lots and download them. I know that technically people can turn on cc lots in their search but in practice I find people don't download cc containing lots ever.

  • I hardly own any of the kits, but one that I like a lot is the Nursery kit. It brings a new and much needed historical/sophisticated style to the nurseries ;)

There are so many of them, it's hard to choose. My favourites are

    • book nook: the modular bookcases are great, the couches are nice too
    • Story book nursery : the infant and toddler bed along with the new playmat are so adorable
    • Clutter kit : nice accents here and there in my building
