I'm assuming you have mods, as this is the only current known cause of this issue, since September 2025 (patch 1.118). Update MC Command Center. If you saved with your inventory/fridge/bookshelves empty, load an earlier version of the save. See the broken mod lists linked in Mod & CC Issues: START HERE for other mods you might need to remove or update, and check current status for patch 1.119. You might also want to see How to Use Mods and CC about how to manage your mods when the game updates. On the unlikely chance that you are here as a console player or had an empty Mods folder when this started, please reply with an @ and let me know.
I’m moving you into the pinned thread for this issue
I'm experiencing the issue without having a Mods folder at all. I opened Manage Worlds, and when I returned to my lot, the fridge, all bookcases and the toy box were empty. I'm currently playing on a residental rental lot in Brindleton Bay.

Silence78at Please use this method to make sure you're looking for your mods in the right place:

luthienrising I am looking at my Documents folder. I literally removed my Mods folder and Mods are deactivated since the last update. The folders in the screenshot are in German, but I think you can see it nevertheless.

Silence78at OneDrive is known to cause issues with Mods Also, you're showing me folders that are directly in the Documents folder, not in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims. See How to Use Mods and CC on where the Mods folder the game sees is. See here about OneDrive:
