Astronaut: Sim doesn't get promoted

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.68.154.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Vampires, Go to Work, Realm of Magic, and free packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By trying to play the astronaut career?
What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t seem to be promoted in the career.
What do you expect to see? The job performance bar will go up but then it won’t to the next stage of the job like the next performance advancement in the job.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated the game from the new November patch of 2020. I have been having problems already. The random glitches that crash my game with no warning, the content that was supposed to be new and add was not there or glitching out, and now this.

I updated the game from the new November patch of 2020. I have been having problems already. The random glitches that crash my game with no warning, the content that was supposed to be new and add was not there or is glitching out, and now this. I make a new sim, use an existing sim in the game, I try traveling, taking them out of the game and back in, I tried shutting my computer down, the game down, it seems that I have to do with this new update. 

this is what happens. I make a new sim or use a pre-existing sim. I make a home and then I make each sim pick a career. I usually go alphabetically just because. I have them do their daily task to 100% (which in this case is play chess) and make sure that is they have a skill that needs to be at a curtain level then I do that (which there is no skill yet). I send them off the work and when the day is over the check mark for the next promotion lights up and they don’t get the promotion. So I was like “oh maybe the next time they go to work they will get it to.” I do everything again and it still doesn’t happen and over and over and over again.

I love EA but I think I need to put this out here. You are making me so incredibly upset I don’t think I will by another PC concept game again. I have love the sims franchise but I’m getting up to the point where I can’t stand the glitches and the crashes. I know it’s not your fault but at the same time it is.
