Aug 19 Update - Mod Crash Notes

All Chingyu mods are broken for me, also YourFalse hope disorders and NSFW traits prevent the game from loading

I play with over 2000+ mods. Here are some helpful insights on which mods works and which are either 100% broken or possibly broken as of Aug 20th 2025.

If you play with mods, there is a great chance you have these mods: 

I have tested all of these and they are all SAFE (just make sure you have their latest updates)

1. MCCC
2. **bleep**
3. Tmex better build buy & better exceptions 
4. UI Cheat by weerbesu
5. Panda Sama's mods
6. Cooking Mods by Oni and Littlbowbub
7. XMLInjector 

***As for CC: I do have over 1000+ pieces of CC and so far CCs are SAFE and unaffected by the patch. But just make sure you have the latest updates for these CCs. 

Here are the mods that I personally play with that broke my game:

   • I do have over 100+ of her mods so I am not too sure exactly which ones are broken but for sure at least 1 of them is indeed broken which resulted in my game breaking. 
   • But these are some of her mods that are SAFE (All the ones that she has recently updated as of Aug 20th are SAFE):

What I recommend you do to search which mods are broken:

1. Backup your mods folder and save it somewhere else. 
2. Delete the mods folder and start your game. You can see that the game will work normally. 
3. Exit Game (DO NOT SAVE) 
4. Locate the backup mods folder you stored elsewhere
5. Re-add the mods but DO NOT re-add every mods all at once. Just re-add like 5 mods at a time. 
6. Start your game. If your game runs normally and allows you to play, then you know those 5 mods are SAFE. 
7. Exit Game (DO NOT SAVE). Repeat the process: Re-add 5 more mods, start the game, and exit until you determine which mods are broken and which are safe. 
   • I would keep a list of mods that you found are broken so you can replace it or re-add it once their creator post their updates.

Just an FYI, because the thread on the forums is still not created. You can check the general-mods-news channel (scroll to yesterday messages) on https://discord.com/invite/simsafterdark to see which mods are confirmed broken and which ones got updated. Not all creators are there but many do.

natabear improved ailments mod doesn't load my households. 

Thanks for your list.  I found that a lot of Little Ms Sam's mods are causing problems for me.  I haven't tested all of her's because I ran out of puff after many back and forths and confusion on my part.  Her Auto Gardening, Auto Thermostat, Auto Repair, and Auto Put Painting in Inventory seem fine but I had problems with many of the others and have yet to individually test them.

Correction! the XmlInjector is working... now? shrugs I have no idea. The other ones are still not working.
