However, some players, especially those who moved CAS folders onto an external drive when CC was broken by the game, have lingering issues. Test a fresh mods folder with newly downloaded CC. You might need to either make fresh CAS folders for your old CAS files or redownload them.
Gameplay lag has many, many causes. See the EA blog post called "Dag Dag Lag" about these. An excessive number of mods is one of many possible causes. Almost all are within player control. Recent patches have not increased lag on their own.
