Build Mode Crash Bug

I've been enjoying the latest patch/pack, but I've been experiencing a very annoying crash bug that I've never encountered before. I rebuilt Copperdale High using the bones of a structure I'd previously built several months ago, which worked fine. No glitches or bugs while in build or, after I'd finished, live mode. However, I later wanted to remove some turret roofs and modify the building while in build mode--but simply deleting one of the roofs caused the game to crash. This was the first crash I experienced, but it randomly happened again when I expanded walls, deleted rooms, etc. Keep in mind this was in build mode, so no Sims were present. I received an extensive error report, part of which I'll share below, but I don't understand why it keeps happening when building has never given me crash issues before. I even cloned the building and placed it on another lot (in case it was the high school lot itself that made building problematic), but the game also crashed when I deleted another roof piece. Building is one of the main reasons I enjoy this game, so this error is particularly saddening. :-( I also spent quite a lot of time on this build and I don't want to start again from scratch (which may even be pointless if the crash bug happens on a new building, too).

The top portion of the error report seems to provide the most helpful information, so I'd be grateful if anyone could parse this:

Here are the specs on my computer:

Model: iMac20, 8 processors, 8-Core Intel Core i7, 3.8 GHz, 32 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT, 16 GB
Display: iMac, Retina 5K (5120 x 2880), Main, MirrorOff, Online

My computer and the Sims 4 are up to date. I have CC installed, but they're just 20 or so Felix Andre build pieces (gothic windows), no script mods. To experiment, I turned CC off, but when I deleted the roof piece, the game crashed again, so I don't think they're the cause. I also tried deleting cache files and repairing my game, which initially seemed to improve stability but it eventually crashed while building (e.g., deleting the roof piece, expanding a room, removing a wall, etc.).
