Cc mods not working

I hadn’t played sims 4 for a while, but when I updated my mods and opened the game, they were not working. I checked that the mods were up to date and they were. I saw a post about someone deleting their mods folder and creating a new one by opening the game, disabling modsand custom content, closing the game, opening the game and then activating mods and custom content and finally closing the game again, but that didn’t work. What should I do now?
