- Goth5837 years agoSeasoned AceI use CC and Mods constantly because I like to add more realism and diversity to my game. EA has to look at the community as whole whereas most of the modding community create items based on their own wants in the game. For instance, I have the Explore With mod from KawaiiStacie so I can allow for my sims to do more with one another while I play with other sims on the lot or just to add some fun to the game. I have tiny mods like the Shave Mod and Private Practice which adds some everyday realism, and the Food=Calories mod which gives a purpose to exercising. CC and Mods allow you to make the game yours, IMO.
- bshag4lv7 years agoSeasoned AceI would prefer not to use cc/mods in my game if I can get it through DLC of course. I have nightmares about patches and updates, lol. Until EA/Maxis gives me everything through the packs, I will continue to download the terrific cc and very helpful and appreciated mods for my game.
I can't make the choice to vote for either one. - I use both CC/Mods and DLC but I tend to use mods more often because of the fact that DLC doesn't offer everything I want in my game, like Mods can be more realistic because a mod creator making a smoking mod doesn't have to worry about the backlash that EA would if they added smoking. I don't hate EA's DLC as much as other people do, I think it could be better or just less expensive but I still use it. I think mods one of the best options for expanding your game if you want more to your actual sims.
