Like many, I experienced unplayable cheats after the latest patch. Today, I came across a simple fix from @TwistedMexican!TwistedMexican includes an explanation about why the cheats broke and the one-file mod to fix them on his Patreon https://patreon.com/posts/19645059! @Scottjess Everyone has one by default. Go to My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

Just copy and paste the file from TwistedMexican's Patreon into the Mods folder, and that should fix the cheats.

Edit: Also make sure script mods should be checked (allowed) in your Gameplay Options > Other tab, in addition to enabling mods.

Well I have tried all that and it still is not working. The ones I try to get to work is Sims.add_buff for emotional cheats and that does nto seem to function.

Did you try other cheats such as skills? You have to make sure you use testingcheats true or testingcheats on too. Many people have retweeted this on Twitter saying that it has worked for them (it has worked for me). My only other advice would be to create a new save, remove all mods, re-add this mod, and try again. If not, I'm certain that Maxis/EA will address the cheat issue in the next patch. Good luck!

So using the cheat mentioned how can you do it without making it log it. I thought I could use echo off but that does not work and it seems to just make an entry every time making the white box huge.
