Wow, I removed one file from SOL and I'm having a grand time. I find this mod, in particular, is adding depth I never realized was missing from the game. I removed the Autonomous hook-up, or whatever it's called as it caused my one Sim to cheat on his wife at a Charity Event thrown by his mother. So both his mother and his wife were in the room. He should never have allowed Candi Behr to kiss him like that. :open_mouth:
But other than that, I'm really liking this mod. Made my Global Superstar jealous at the pre-grad party thrown in the dorm, because he suddenly was wondering how long this has been going on behind his back. Unless his girlfriend was behaving badly and I just didn't see her in action he was upset. But, this is something wanted as far back as Sims2. Reaction from a Sim. - Susim62New Spectator@GalacticGal , I just started using SOL as well and particularly like the different personality types based on the Myers Briggs test.
There seems to be a few options I'm missing, like the turn ons/offs. Do you have that in your options?
There were a couple of modules I didn't add, so was wondering if it's because of that, or if it's been removed from the mod. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

I recall having them when I first downloaded it, but I'm uncertain if it's there in the updated version. I would have to check. It may be under Options. "GalacticGal;c-17415767" wrote:

@Cnstnc680 @GalaticGal, Actually since this I've recently given it a second chance. I still don't like MOST of the mod and ended up deleting almost all the files haha, but there's one or two I like.
I love Sims 4 personalities etc how they are, they are my fav of all Sims games as I can be more creative with them. This mod makes the personalities closer to older versions, which I don't like. But I decided to use a few things like the study events and teen hangout etc.. just some etc social get togethers, and I have the memories installed too but to be honest I'll prob delete them soon lol. They pop up far too often to me. If my sim wasn't getting a happy moodlet from remembering the fact that he had woohoo 3x a day (He didn't woohoo 3x a day, he's just remembering it that often lol) I might keep it lol.
PS: It was a very recent download for me and turn offs/turn ons are there for me, but I don't use them as I didn't want them in the game haha.- GalacticGalSeasoned Ace@SimAlexandria I'm glad you find the Sims4 personalities, et al, strong enough for your taste. My reference to Sims2 was mostly that a Sim wouldn't react when another Sim told them of an indiscretion by their partner. They actually had to be on the very same lot when woohoo took place by their partner in order to react. It was a disappointment. I will go on to say, that while some enjoy various mods, it's mostly (as in my case) how I play my game. Obviously, this mod is causing interference with how you play your game. There is nothing wrong with rejecting ANY mod that doesn't suit you. There are a number of Simmers who don't use mods and/or cheats at all, preferring what's called a vanilla game. If I find a mod I like. I will share the 'news' with others, like I did in this thread.
Kudos to you for giving it a second look. And no worries if you uninstall it altogether. I had to do that with a mod I liked up front when it went wonky on me and destroyed the game save I had going. To the point where I had to restart a new game with that family. It's the one I have be sharing lately. For me it gives the random potential for disaster, that the other mod gave, only without the violence. "GalacticGal;c-17417283" wrote:

Vanilla games are fun for me, but mods def. add something for me and I prefer to use them. Just not for personality as I like them in this game haha. More for activities. I use things like little ms sams mods for day care and foster homes etc. And I just noticed that the person who makes slice of life has a new mod for house flipping! That sounds fun, I think i'll try it. Her mods are very well done, but SOL just don't work for my gameplay style in a lot of ways. I do play vanilla for some saves, like when I did 100 baby challenge, but I'm completed that now and playing diff saves haha.
I have had other mods I had to uninstall altogether, like meaningful stories. Maybe it'd work in another save, but I create my own stories from scratch and sometimes it got in the way, it's why I prefer the less strong personalities too. I didn't like it at all before but maybe with a diff family that's not in themiddle of a story I'll give it another chance at some point too haha.
@telmarina it does a lot more than change appearance, but that's one thing it does too.- loubyloulouSeasoned Novice

I just learned there's a mod called Slice of Life. I already have installed Meaningful Stories. Has anyone attempted to play their game with these two mods installed at the same time? Do they enhance each other, or is MS unnecessary with SoL?
Please and thank you for any help/advice you can give.

Thanks for asking this as I had just come to this board to ask the very same thing.
I've had it with TS4. I have been holding off mods, intending to mod the game when it was complete.
But I can't take it anymore. :s
I do play creatively, but I find TS4 the most boring of all the Sims games.
I am ready to jump the gun and finally try some mods to try to bring more personality and interest to these sims.
I am currently working on a prep school for my teen sims, to prep them for University.
Once that is completed, I will give slice of life and Meaningful stories a trial run on a new save to try out different settings before trying it out on my main save.
Honestly, I couldn't play TS4 without mods now :# Hopefully you'll start enjoying your game a bit more now :) Slice of Life is quite customisable too - you can take out elements of it that you don't like/want in your game. Same with MCCC too. One thing I found with Meaningful Stories is that if you're playing on normal lifespan, certain moodlets/emotions (e.g. sad) can last for days and days, which can mean that your Sim is sad for a third of his/her life! It was a bit too intense for me so I ended up unistalling it and installing two different mods by the same creator (Roburky) which have a similar but less intense effect: True Happiness and No Happy Environment. They both play nicely with SoL. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

I'm using very recently the meaningfull stories mod and i'm really enjoying it. I've seen a lot of talking about slice of life and thought, until now that it only changed the appearance of the sims...? I'll need to investigate it further.
It does far more than change appearances. And, just to let everybody know, it works just fine with Meaningful Stories, too. :)
