emotional texts

I tried a few searches first, but didn't see anything about this. Also not sure if this is the right spot to ask. When my sims send an emotional text to someone they no longer get an invitation to go somewhere. I haven't used that for awhile so I'm not sure if it's an ongoing issue everyone already knows about. I noticed it a couple days ago. I only use one mod and I have no cc. I pulled the mod folder out and started a new save to make sure it wasn't the mod. It also happened in the new unmodded save. Curious if this is a me problem or the game problem.
