I think I just use the default windows 10 antivirus. I do not have Norton or any additional software.
I just deactivated One drive and reset the game files again and I seem to be having the same problem.
If I never add mods in the first place I do not have an issue I think. If I add mods it works initially and then I can't get it to work after that (even if I remove the mods).
@bobbyb897 It sounds like you'll need to test your mods. It's a bit more complicated since the game launches once, but you can set aside your current Sims 4 user folder and just experiment on a new one. Use the 50/50 method to sort through the mods.

I think I have been trying to use the 50/50 method but I do not think it is working as the same thing happens where it works the first time and then crashes thereafter.

@bobbyb897 If the game works the second time you launch it when you never use mods, but it doesn't work the second time you launch it when you do add mods, then the problem is probably at least one of the mods. But you can test this by adding only a freshly downloaded mod that's confirmed compatible with the game's current patch level, for example MCCC or one of TwistedMexi's mods. If you see the same error, then we can look elsewhere.
Please test in a(nother) clean user folder, just to be thorough.
The reason I asked about an antivirus is that this kind of problem is not all that uncommon, although usually the game is affected and not the mods. The idea is that an antivirus detects the mods' effects or maybe just that they're added to Documents and blocks the files in a way. So if adding a fresh, fully updated mod, and nothing else, produces the same problem, please look through the Task Manager's background processes list for anything that looks like it might belong to an antivirus.

Hello, I have been messing around with the sims 4 folder to see what causes the error on my second launch and I think it is the lastcrash file. Whenever I delete the file and relaunch it doesn't crash on startup. I was wondering if there was a way to read this file to see what exactly is causing the issue?
