Game crashing, mod related

Hello,

My game rarely experienced crashing until I downloaded the Horse Ranch, Jungle Adventure, and Romantic Garden Stuff packs last week on sale this winter sale season.  Now I can't play for very long before the entire game crashes completely randomly.  I have only about 85GB of storage available (I am getting a new Mac Pro computer next week), but want to be sure this is in fact the cause of the constant crashing.

    @AkennArt Thanks so much for coming back with that info! Sometimes there really is no alternative but a 50-50 when the source isn't a mod a lot of people use or one you'd expect to cause a particular problem.

    My current philosophy on my Mods folder (as someone constantly tempted because I track mod updates!) is to only actually put something in the folder if I expect to use it now or in the very near future. The thing with a lot of what's out there is that they're big system mods that are doing a lot of regular calculating and tracking, and it really can get boggy.

    I am currently having this issue after the latest patch update. I have been playing almost every night for weeks on my new Mac and haven't had any issues until tonight. Now I can't load into my household without it crashing. I haven't added any Mods or CC's recently. I've been playing with the same ones for weeks now and also keep them up to date. I even went and deleted some and have repaired the game 5 times tonight in the last hour. I truly am over the buggy mess that EA has created with Sims.

    I haven’t, but I did leave it be yesterday and tried it again today and was able to play with no issues besides the bugs that For Rent has left me with. If it continues to crash I’ll make sure to take the Mods Folder out. @luthienrising
