Game doesn't realize I've logged in after update

I have the latest update - it's automatic before you can log into the game.
After the update, I've logged in at least a dozen times. There's no other update, I haven't missed one because they're mandatory.

I keep enabling mods so that I can use them and my CC.  Every time I go into game options top enable mods, I save, then exit, then log in again.  Instead of mods/CC being visible, I get the "mods disabled because you just updated"  message.  I do this so many times that I'm no longer interested in playing.  My lots with CC can't load properly if that content is not enabled due to a bug.

I'm running DX11, I've added all the EA exceptions to my antivirus app, I repaired the game, and have logged in after the update - multiple times - to add my CC back to the Mods directory.   This has never, ever happened before, not in a decade, that the game won't let me use CC.

I need help before I have a stroke,  please.

  • The_Mercuria  Try deleting GameVersion.txt in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  And if OneDrive is running on this computer (whether you use it or not), try pausing syncing, which you can do by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Other than that, it's really always about an antivirus blocking changes to the user folder.  I realize you've set exceptions, but this is cause in the overwhelming majority of cases.

      You. Are. Genius.

Thank you so much for fixing this - I deleted the txt file and disabled One Drive (I might uninstall it, hates it) and my CC/mods are available!  THANK YOU!❤️

Are you certain this isn't a matter of clearing the cache from the App? It's worth a try since all else has failed.
