Game lags

Ever since the update I have updated all my mods that’s needed updated & I deleted a ton of ccs as well. Everytime I start the game without mods or cc it works perfectly fine, but soon as I put the mods & ccs back in my game lags a lot. It’s very slow & even when I click on my sims it still takes a while to get the menu to pop up. I started numerous times with brand new saves for each time. I even deleted the sims & redownloaded. Same issue. I even repaired the game as well & it’s still the same issue.

  • Hi @QueenAshhh There could be a few different issues here. These are some of them:

    • You may still just have much more CC and mods than your computer can handle; try adding only the content that you're actually using, and not things you think you might use someday.
    • You may have outdated CC and mods that don't have updates available. You might try using only fairly new CC and mods, not older content, which is more likely to be outdated.
    • You may have duplicates. One way to find these is using a tool like Better Exceptions or MC Command Center. Another is to go through a (useful) process of organizing your content, which will make it more likely that you'll see where you have duplicate files. Personally, I like to organize my Mods folder by the creator, with a separate folder for files that I can't tell who the creator is.
