my game is kind of doing the same thing, except i keep trying to go into CAS to change my sims hairstyle and ive been sitting in the loading screen for the last 20 minutes. ive force closed the game twice, then my computer thinks the sims is a threat so wouldnt let me open and once i finally got it to open i tried again with CAS and still just sitting in the loading screen...
Same here. I can't edit my Sims at all through any method, it's just a never ending loading screen. Only way out of it is to force close the game through Task Manager ☹️
@Lexibwest05 @reaperxnekoxx @SnakeQueenMedusa As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether the issues persist.
If that doesn't help, please let me know whether OneDrive is running on this computer. Please also let me know what antivirus you use.
I have the same issue, endless loading screen, im kinda sad to loose all my progress, i dont have any mods cuz i never use them
- @puzzlezaddict I did as you said and the game worked fine, I also added all of my mods to this new game and it worked fine then as well. But for some reason, I only get this issue on my original game - and it only happens on one particiular save file (the one i use the most) within my original game.
@puzzlezaddictthanks, that was a great tip and it worked
@SnakeQueenMedusa Is your one save affected with no mods or custom content present? What if you load a backup save, still with no mods or cc?

If that doesn't help, try playing with a different household for a bit, in that same save, then going back to your main one. You can use "save as" to create a new slot so you don't overwrite your progress.
Same! I’m getting this pop up message when I hover over the build mode icon and gallery icon. It is also preventing me from saving any progress in the game.
@Jamekah31 Did you try the suggestions earlier in this thread? If yes (and it's important to try them all), and nothing helped, please let me know what platform you're playing on: Windows or macOS.
- @puzzlezaddict It seems creating a new save fixed the issue! Thank you so much :D
