Repaired game, Reinstalled origin, removed mods folder. I was able to completely remove the sims folder and started as a new game. It did launch that way. Does that mean that I have something corrupted?

Yes, most probably an out of date Mod that needs updating. It is nothing Mac related. See the master Mods thread and try to work out which Mod applies to you https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/Broken-Obsolete-and-Updated-Sims-4-Mods-1-101-Sept-26-2023-Game/td-p/12938280/jump-to/first-unread-message Same here, I play on Mac and since the last update from September 2023, my game won't launch. I have to force to quit every time.
I moved the mods folder on my desktop and the game opened but got stuck on the launching page with the Sims 4 Logo and the blue background.
Help please, I don't want to reinstall everything and lose all my saves... We all know - us simmers - the struggle to rebuild, recreate and restart everything from scratches...
Thank you

The game works in Sonoma. Try a whole new Sims 4 folder, without any of your current user data, and see if the game launches. - @Soloroses it wont work unless we reverse our update and lose a lot of things, I also made the mistake of updating my mac weeks ago and ever since I cant play my sims4 anymore unless I log into my fiance mac computer which is not compatible for the sonoma update thank God lol
- @Bluebellflora show us proof ive tried to reinstall the game and I'm not trying to lose anything
- @jselbyfamily i know i was not able to fix it at all.

I have updated two Macs to Sonoma, one Intel and one silicon and both run the game normally. As have others.
Sonoma was publicly released the same day as the game patch. There is always an increase in game breakage on patch day which is usually attributed to CC/Mod compatibility, sometimes a corrupted update. A clean game folder should be tested for the former, a clean game installation for the latter.
If you really think the OS update is responsible for breaking your game, please post the specs of your Mac from About This Mac, but not the serial number, in a new thread in the Mac forum together with every troubleshooting step you have tried to get your game to work. Maybe there is an issue with a specific Mac configuration, a certain graphics chip for example, but QA can only assess when given more information. Me too, my game isn't working anymore. I've tried everything—I've cleared my mods, I've tried putting the file in 'old,' but even with a fresh Sims 4 folder, the issue persists. I think Origin or The Sims 4 should look into the problem because many of us can't play after the Sonoma 14.0 update. This isn't normal. It's worth noting that this iOS update also introduced the 'game mode,' which might have conflicted with Sims 4 or Origin. I don't know what to do on my end; I've tried everything, and now I can't use Sims 4. ☹️(((((((
