When I try to add some slider mods I downloaded, my game stops launching.
Like I can get to the origin main menu and press the sims, but instead of launching the game, the menu just pops up again. The game launches normally when i take the mods out, and I've tried a few by themselves and none of them work. I downloaded them on 10/23/22.
@elloluv333 Many slider mods were broken by a game patch earlier this year. Sometime around May or June, if I recall correctly. If you are trying to use a mod that is older than that, maybe see if there is an updated version available. I'm using several slider mods and they are not preventing my game from launching. I updated all of them after that game patch.
Also, make sure you are putting them in the correct location. For Windows it would be Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Also, make sure any downloads you are trying to add are decompressed, ie not .zip, .rar, .7z, etc. Only .package and .ts4script files can go in your Mods folder.
Same here, one specific slider won't let me open the game even if I update it in sims 4 studio, and the creator updated the slider in March of this year 🥲 so confusing
@aprilu Patches often break slider mods, and March was a few patches ago. You might just have a broken mod there. Which one is it?
