Game won't launch
So, I updated TS4 and went to play; it started up just fine. I needed to switch my mods back on so, I did that and shut it down so I could restart and play. Well, when I press play I'm either told that the game is already running when it isn't or, I press play, Origin minimizes and then maximizes again but nothing happens. The game just will not launch. I've been scouring the internet, trying to figure out what to do but, I'm just frustrated and overwhelmed at this point.
I did repair the game files but, that didn't help. I also restarted my laptop and even uninstalled and reinstalled Origin, to no avail.
@garbageperson It sounds like your mods may be the issue, or at least one of your mods. Please remove them all: move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game. If you still can't play, please stop here, run a dxdiag, and attach it to a post.

If you can play with no mods or custom content present, you'll need to sort through the content. The 50/50 method can make the process a lot more efficient.
