I have recently come across this issue where glass roofs are not visible from inside a room, it just looks like there is a hole in the roof and the sky is visible. This is really bothering me because I like to screenshot my interiors to post on tumblr, and I obviously don't want to have gaping holes in my ceilings. Not sure what's causing this as I'm fairly certain I used to be able to see the glass roofs from inside. I know very little about building, I'm pretty much exclusively a decorator so it could be an easy fix that I'm just unaware of. If anyone has any idea of how to fix this, I'd be so grateful!! I also attached screenshots in case it's not clear what I mean.
@jadyn017, I tested this in my game and I don't get the same results. Here is what I got:

Now, in your pictures I notice that you have some Custom Content (CC). You really have to be careful with CC and Mods because every time EA issues a patch/update, there is a large chance that CC and Mods can be broken or out of date. A good creator of Mods/CC will update their items to fit in with EA's updates, but it is up to you to keep track of your CC and Mods and get them updated when the Mod creators update them. Even if you don't have any Mods or CC that have to do with roofs, it can still affect your roofs, or other aspects of your game, even gameplay! 🤨 We just had an update last week, so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people are finding their CC or Mods out of date.
To test if your CC/Mods are the culprit, you will need to temporarily remove your Mods folder to your desktop. Then, delete the localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. Then fix your game in Origin by signing in to Origin and go to your Library. Right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the option to "Repair game". Wait until all packs are fixed and not just the base game.
When you turn on your game it will make a new Mods folder that will be empty. Once your game is on, then check to see if removing the old Mods folder and doing the other steps has fixed your game. You can return your Mods/CC back to your game bit by bit, but if you have a lot it is best to do the 50/50 Method You can find instructions for this in this in the "Spoilers" section of this link here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Information/CC-and-Mod-Use/td-p/6980073
This is from a person who used to help here and who has over 1000 Mods and CC in her game! I don't play with Mods or CC because it is waaay to much upkeep for me. I don't want to have to sort through all the CC and Mods to find which is breaking my game or causing me problems -- I'm too lazy for that! 😳 You have to decide for yourself if CC and Mods are worth the trouble. If you think they are, then you aren't alone, and link I provided should help you! 😎 But you are also not alone if you don't want the hassle! 😉😃
Please update us on if your problem is solved or not! 🙂
I've got the same exact issue. No CC or mods whatsoever and I have tried repairing the game, everything is updated and working fine. However, this issue is still there and it's so frustrating.. I don't know what else to try ☹️
