Help !!! I can't interact with other adult Sims

Since the most recent update patch, I can't interact with other adult sims. I have to have my Sim kids help me interact with all adults including Emit in his quests. Any ideas on how to fix it?? I checked all of my mods and everything is updated and removed, so I don't know what I am doing wrong...
