how to locate my cas background in my mods folder

Hi! I have been trying to get rid of my old cas background for a while now, the problem is that I can't locate my old cas background in my mods folder because I haven't made a system and it is chaos there. I have tried to search with the name of files to the same background I found, but none of them was the one I have in game because the old background I have still showed up when I had deleted a file with the same name to the other background I found. I was wondering if someone knew how I could fix this as I am not a technically skilled person and honestly don't know what I am doing 🙂

  • @Kawaiipuppy04 Hello!  Most of those background mods will have "CAS" in the filename. Did you try searching that in your mods folder?  For that you would just open your file explorer, click on the mods folder, then type cas in the search bar.  You'll want to look for the .package file that will probably be something like " ...CAS room ..." or "...CAS background ...".  I believe you can only have one of those in your mods folder for it to show up in game.  If there were more than one, they might conflict with each other.  Here's my example:

Edit: This image looks kind of small, so you can right click and open in new tab or window for the full size.  Sorry if you already knew that.

    Hope this helps!

  • I am wondering the same thing, as I downloaded multiple backgrounds and I don’t remember the names of the ones I downloaded and I tried searching in my mods folder by typing CAS or BACKGROUND and only one I just recently downloaded but the one that’s showing up is an old one, what do I do?!

Don't "necropost." Reviving, updating or bumping old, outdated and irrelevant threads is not helpful for our community. It's best to check when the thread was created before you hit post, just to make sure it's not 2 years old for example.
