Installing mods

I want to MCCC to adjust lifespan. I thought sims 4 had mods folder already, but I don't and don't know what I need to download to make MCCC work. Please help.

  • you might have to enable mods and stuff in the in-game options for it to appear maybe?
if that doesn't work just make a mods folder and toss it in.

    Is that just in settings?
  • It's in my game now, it's showing up in the show cc and mods list, but no option anywhere in game.

    Hello
You need to have a computer in your sims home. Click on the computer, and there will be a MC Command Center option. Click on that and you can then alter settings. Also if you click on the sims themselves, there will be a MC Command Center option.
There is information about the mod in this link

There is further information about the modules by clicking on the yellow titles on the site page.
This link thread provides help for the MC Command Center Mod. If you have questions about the settings, you can post about it there, and there are helpful simmers there that will help you.

  • I've been trying very hard to download customs content and mods to no avail and I'm struggling to figure out what the problem might be. I`ve followed several tutorials, all giving me just about the same steps, and no matter what I try I can't get my mods/cc to show up in my game. Everything I've tried to download goes into KESU (D:) > The Sims 4 > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods and I don't see what's wrong with that. KESU (D:) is an external hard drive that I'm using because my PC doesn't have enough storage to run the game, but multiple online forums say it can run just fine on an external hard drive. I have script mods and customs content enabled, I currently have no custom content or mods or game packs installed because I am a new player ( although I do have the resource cfg file in my mods folder because I was told you need it for mods), and I have the latest update of the game. I'm just really in need of guidance because the game isn't nearly as fun without cc and mods in my opinion. Anyone that feels they can help me, please respond.
  • @haileyelisaw Your mods need to be in the Mods folder that Sims 4 creates for you, using the resource.cfg file that's created by the game. Don't make your own folder somewhere.

I figured it out, I'm so excited! for anyone who may have the same issue in the future : the game will run perfectly fine on an external hard drive, but you should put your electronic arts and mods folder on your computer! Thank you! <3
