Invisible Sims

Over the past few months i’ve had an issue with my sims randomly going invisible/disappearing in live mode. i’ve looked up other ppl with this issue years ago but the mods they list as being the culprit are not in my game at all so i’m pretty lost. the sims are still playable they just go completely invisible, sometimes going into CAS brings them back and sometimes I have to close the game completely. 

PLEASE do not suggest the 50/50 method, i’ve tried but the glitch is so sporadic and opening and closing the game brings the sims back regardless of if i take any mods out or not :/ i’m aware i may have to restart my mods folder completely or just deal with it but this post is just to see if anyone else already fixed this problem and knows the exact file that was causing the issue. any help or advice aside from 50/50 is welcomed and appreciated though
