last update - washing dishes

Every time i click a dirty dish it says “Throw away” instead of “Clean up”, whenever i click throw away my sim collects all the dirty dishes and takes them to the trash. They don’t use the sink anymore. 

What can i do to fix this?

@kindhearted4ever  Try designating the sink as a bathroom sink, then back to a kitchen sink.  If that doesn't help, buy a new sink.

i'm having the same issue, after the new patch when i set the sink to be used in the kitchen or bathroom my sims simply cannot wash the dishes anymore. they will pick it up then put it down. once i removed those settings they started using the sinks again.

@kindhearted4ever Are you playing with any mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, see what happens after you drag that folder to your desktop and delete localthumbcache. (Don't save, though! Or test in a new game.) There's a possibility that some cleaning/sink-related mods/CC are blocking some sink functionality after the patch, although not all sink CC is a problem based on my testing.

@crinrict I've set a sink type on all the sinks in the house but there is a dishwasher in the kitchen as well. However, the sims are not able to wash any plates or food preps, they only put them back and the room gets dirty over time.

@cecils_geemu Did you check if you have any dirty dishes on shelves or half-walls ? They usually can't get there when trying to collect all the dirty dishes and it leads to issues.

Check anything that has slots to put something.

Me too and I play on Pc. Instead of washing a dish sims throw it away.
