long household load

i have repaired my game numerous times. working from a totally new save with only 37 sims. i am noticing a long household time, to the point of contantly force closing my game. especially with the new EP households. i have a good amount of mods, lighting mod, weather mod included and i believe i have updated all the mods needing update. The most recen game load did not generate a BE file but an LE file instead, not sure how to read it to isolate the problem. my gaming options buttons are also glitchy.  my new try is to complete remove my mod folder and try loading to game, to retry the 50/50 method because i do not know what else could be the reason for the lag since i playing on a fairly new PC with more than enough specs.

  • I found the cc that was messing up my game options  interface, but still struggling to isolate the mods/cc causing the long to lag household load.

@jowainekni598 Long load times aren't always about CC/mods. If you test vanilla, does the load time change?  Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

  • Yes, there is a significant difference in load time. But this particular family i created and started play in Ravenwood yesterday to complete the Tarot card challenge would not load into their lot. they would load ok if they were off the lot, i could load into other families within the same world just not them. So i test without mod folder, the household loads, with folder..the background sound indicates that the household loads, but the screen still has the spinning Plumbo running, i had to move the family completely from the current lot to a new lot then was able to load. Same action happened to another family i was playing in oasis, i had to relocate the household to continue playing them, so idk y.
