Lot not loading

Hey!

I have a lot that all of a sudden stays on the loading screen. I was able to move the entire household to another house and the game worked. I was also able to go to the original house in build mode. When I tried to move them back the game crashed again. Does anyone have any tips on what to do? I love the house and decorated it so nicely so I’m really trying to save the house but I don’t know what to do. I already repaired and deleted cache. Thanks!

The last exception is referencing object_Food_BakedYams - as far as I know, there's no yams in a vanilla game. Are you sure you never had the cc food in use on the bugged lot?

  • I’m having issues with playing with a lot in live mode. I haven’t played in a week and yesterday I downloaded a food mod. When I went back to play on this lot, it crashed or was in infinite loading. I am able to look at the lot in build mode and I evicted the family and placed them in another lot. I believe that means the family is not the problem. I took the food mod out too, and nothing. I also moved a random family in the lot, and nothing. The only older save I have is in December. The house was able to load in live mode. However I lost a month of progress if I continue on that save, which is not what I’m trying to do. So far, my other households are working with no problem.

I also tried repairing and deleting cache. The last thing I did was take my entire mods folder out. I went to the lot to play in live mode, it kept loading. I then went and evicted the family and put another family, it kept loading.

Any suggestions on what is happening or what I can do to fix this ? Thanks so much for reading and helping!!!

  • I tried to replace the older house on the new one, it still didn't load. I also evicted the family and tried to place a new family. It still didn't load. Now I am all out of ideas lol. I dont want to lose all my progress.

  • So I went back to a save one month ago and the live mode loaded. I do not want to replay a month of game play so I am trying to figure out what I can do. I saved the house in live mode that worked to my gallery and will try to replace it in my current game. I only edited one room since a month ago so it must be something in the new room that didnt work well with the new update....I think...lol lets hope

Let me know if you have any suggestions. After all this, there is something in the house that must be the error when you play on live mode.

I just downloaded a food mod but I never played with that lot with the mod. For example, I never cooked the cc food on the lot. I haven’t played with that lot since I downloaded that mod until now when I tried to load the lot. All my other households which I used the mod and made the food, work well.

should I delete the mod? And see if it works?

Were you using any food mods? In build mode, check for any plates left on the lot and delete them.

    Thanks for the response!

I followed your instructions. I also have last crash files. Should I delete those?

This last exception was the last one with the infinite loading screen:

  • 17150781f5c03834  Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see.  Try again to load into this lot, preferably in a previous save where you get stuck on the infinite loading screen.  Look for a new lastexception file, and if you find one, provide it here.

You can copy the text and paste it into a reply, or you can upload it to a third-party filesharing site and link it.  In the latter case, make sure that anyone with the link can view it.
