Lot won't load after deleting second world

Hello, I'm having issues loading my game. It only happens to one save file of mine, and only happens when I remove a second world from the map (this particular save file is the only one with a second world).

Here's what happened: I purchased High School Years around the time Growing Together came out. When I did that, a second Copperdale showed up. I've been living with it, but recently I decided to do something about it. I followed a site from a help page here to remove the second world. That worked, and all seemed fine and dandy.

Well, after I did that, none of the households will load into the lot. I tried multiple households and none of them will load with this particular save. I removed my mods and deleted the cache file, and it was still doing the same thing. I had a backup save, so I loaded that and I could play again, but with the second Copperdale still there. I recently tried again, and this time I removed all of my mods before I attempted this, and the same thing is happening. I even tried bulldozing some of my lots, and it won't let me load the household. The second world is driving me crazy, and I cannot remove it without not being able to load into the family lot. I'm not sure what to do because I'm burnt out from trying to research this.

I followed the instructions, word for word, on this website:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2022/06/world-appears-twice-on-world-map/

I remove the second Copperdale with no issues, but then I can't load my game into any lot after that. I can go into CAS and build, but not actually play any household. My game decides, after a couple of minutes, that it won't load and it'll return to the world menu.

I'm not sure if the save depends on it. It is high school years, though, so I'm not sure if that's a factor? This save is my generation family, so a lot of kids/teens have been in my household. I utilize HSY a bit.

I feel like I've been having issues with the pack since I got it, but I'm not 100% certain if it's the pack or something else. I'm not sure if it's because of the second world that I'm having problems.

  • @ashley_salas101 I took a look at your save game and it seems that the act of disabling the pack makes the game throw exceptions. Bit unsure what they mean but it's very possible that once you started playing with HSY that it creates too many dependencies to the pack to be able to remove it easily from a specific save.

Haven't seen any other people with issues and I wonder if your overstuffed households play a role with it.

Not sure what to suggest as you say the second world greatly bothers you.

Maybe load your important Sims/Houses to the gallery and place them into a new save game ? You'll loose all relationships but most of the other stuff should remain intact.

EDIT: I tested my own high school save without the pack and my family was evicted from the world and loading households still worked so really unsure what happened in your save.

@crinrict Thanks for the response! I used MCCC to make my households larger. If I split my households to only have 8 Sims, removed all mods, and deleted the cache, do you think may work to remove the second world?

The thing that slightly annoys me at times is when I have my teens attend prom, it'll take me to the second world's auditorium. I know this because I remodeled the first world's auditorium and not the second. I'm also wondering if it affects graduations because I have not been able to have a normal graduation for any of my teens who aged up to young adults. The ceremony either won't appear on the calendar (may do so if another aged-up teen asks another about graduation), it'll send the prompt to travel to the auditorium early but the graduation won't happen (no one shows up and the ceremony doesn't actually start), the ceremony starts but if my teen is the Valedictorian they are not able to give their speech, or diplomas are never handed out (or they are but nothing else happens).

(I know I have wild household numbers. I don't know why I torture myself) ☹️

@ashley_salas101 The LEs aren't much indication what is wrong and it seems to affect also the small households so I don't know if the large households are causing this or not.

Graduation not taking place has bug reports so that might not be connected to having multiple worlds.

Really don't know what to suggest cause my guess is that even if EA fixes the underlying bug, you'd still be stuck with two worlds on that particular save.

Maybe the folks over at the MCCC discord know what the LastExceptions mean so if you have a Discord, you can see what they have to say. Link them this thread.

@crinrict Thank you! It's a minor inconvenience to have the two worlds, but I guess I'll have to live with it. This is my 11 gen family, and I don't want to start over.
