Mccc Help please

Normally when I play my Sims game, it is a Legacy game.. in fact, it is the Pinstarr version. So when I play my legacy games, I have no cheats, mods, hacks.. etc.. But now that my legacy family is at Gen 10 .. Im thinking about adding the Mccc to my Sims game, and creating a whole new family to play using these new mods .. so, my question is.. if I add this program to my Sims .. does it, or will it effect my Legacy game .. even If I do not load it up or play it .

Also.. is there someone I could message to ask some general questions if I have any problems or, ask some help with or about it. ?

If you don’t load your legacy when the mod is installed that save should be fine. If you want to go back to it later, just move the mods folder to your desktop and clear caches before loading up the game. As far as questions go, I’d ask the modder directly on his discord, or if you use Twitter there are some helpful folks there as well (let me know if you’d like those links). :)

Edit: you can also make a copy of your save and put it somewhere safe just in case.
  • @Laceyrose Here is a link for MCCC (live chat) help. There are several there, where you can get help from any time of the day.

  • Here's a link to an MCCC general disuccion thrwad here on the forums. Could be of some help: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/913483/mc-command-center-local-help-chat-thread#latest
  • I played Pinstar's Legacy after I added the MCCC mod, but I didn't use it. If you don't set thing in the mod, it does't just 'do'.At least it never effected my game play.
  • With the story progression in MCCC, you can have townies, i.e. unplayed households, get married, have babies, cheat on their spouses, so that you get townies who carry on in the background just like the played ones. I would think this would make generations play more interesting.
  • (this is only coming from when I've used the mod, so it might be different for you)
MCCC is really an optional thing, so no, it shouldn't affect your game. I'm pretty sure it doesn't command itself to do things like wickedwhims might. If you're seriously worried, I'd just take the entire mod out whenever you feel like playing your Legacy Game.
  • Ok, that is what Im actually looking from the MCCC is the risky woohoo and the story progression for the townies that @sunblond is talking about.. anything else, Im just not interested in. Ive been to the MCCC webpage, and it is overwhelming .. lol, espically when I have no clue which mod Im looking for :)
  • When you install MCCC, you go to an in game PC to configure the settings, it's a good idea to do this in a test save, try out different settings until it is the way you want. The "overview" on the MCCC site is a good way to understand all the settings, a lot of stuff can be disabled if not needed or wanted. If you use Discord, the server for MCCC has really helpful administrators and help info if you have questions.
