Mccommand not working after love struck updates

I've tried everything, but I cannot get my mccommand to work in game.  I also noticed that the window for mccommand does not show up when the game loads.  I went through all the troubleshooting suggestions, like:

making sure both script and mods are enabled, installed latest version of mccc, repaired my game several times, removed all mod/script files from EA folder except mccc and still it does not work. The file is placed directly in the mod folder, with no subfolders.

Any suggestions.
