@puzzlezaddict @Thank you for the tip! I disabled all mods and was able to identify the culprit. It was a script mod that wasn't compatible with the new patch. I updated it and the game is running as it was before

Hi @SandyBee3 Lag can be caused by multiple mods, by computer specs, by heavily stuffed lots and households, and by game issues. The only way to even narrow it down to a mod is to test with no mods: Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it... if it's a mod. For that part, start at Broken/Updated Mods .
