my game only runs as a background process

i just updated all my mods and downloaded all new cc so everything is up to date and compatible with the latest patch but every time i launch my game it only opens as a background process and i cant ...

    @armaniallthat  Try removing the entire Mods folder and letting the game generate a new one.

    If that doesn't help, rename the Sims 4 folder so the game can't read it.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Make sure everything is working, enable mods and cc, then quit and add a fresh copy of one mod.

    If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use.

@armaniallthat  Does it matter which one mod you add to the game?  As in, if you download a fresh copy of a mod that's known to be updated for patch 1.110, and test with only that mod, do you still get stuck on the spinning plumbob screen?  Please try a few such mods and let me know.

If none of the fresh copies work, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS and what format your external drive has.  You can check in Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).

    It doesn't matter which mod still nothing. my computer runs windows and the disk format is in the picture i think

        okay the second suggestion fixed it its running with the one mod. i'm gonna cautiously add the rest of them as they're updated pls wish me luck
