Sims missing textures
Hi all, I’m experiencing a nearly identical issue to what others have reported here, and I’m honestly at my wit’s end. My Sims 4 game was working perfectly fine just yesterday. I had pre-ordered the new Enchanted by Nature pack, and today I went to launch my game after downloading the new content—only to find that it won't load at all.
Before launching, I removed all CC and mods, just to be safe. When I noticed the game wasn’t loading, I tried to repair it through the EA App, but the repair process wouldn’t complete—it either stalls or gives me an error.
Since then, I’ve tried absolutely everything:
- Restarted the game, the EA App, and my Mac (running macOS Sequoia).
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game.
- Cleared every cache file I could find related to the EA App and Sims 4.
- Attempted to start a brand new save — that didn’t help either.
Despite all of this, my game is still broken. When I do manage to load into a save, Sims are missing textures, appearing as red and white checkered boxes with question marks. Some Sims don’t even render at all and appear as voids.
I’ve spent the last four hours trying to troubleshoot this and have now spoken to four different EA advisors, but none of them have been able to resolve the issue. At this point, I can’t play at all. My entire game is unusable. Please, can someone from the EA team acknowledge this? This seems directly related to the new pack and/or the recent update. Thank you.
