My Household Cannot Use Object in Hazakura Lounge

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.93.129.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except; High School, Werewolves and a few kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to play chess or cards in the Hazakura Lounge?
What happens when the bug occurs? My sims cannot play cards or chess in the Hazakura Lounge
What do you expect to see? I expect my sims to be able to play chess or cards
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

So I modified the Hazakura Lounge in Mt Komorebi a little, only to add a place to eat and a table activity.

The card table was only allowing one of my two sims to play at either time (I chose "play with" and the other sim wouldn't show up), so I deleted the card table and put down a chess table instead. But this time I'm getting "Sim doesn't have permission to use this object" for both sims. "Play with" does work, but it only shows me npc sims and not household.

This is an issue only in this location. I have had my sims play cards and chess in Tartosa, Willow Creek, and Strangerville. They are able to play chess in the Onsen lot.

I disabled mods and cleared the cache to no avail. I left mods off for further testing.

I have exited the lot and loaded back in - no change. I have closed my game and loaded back in - no change.

I tried changing the Lounge into a Library and then a Generic lot to no avail.

I added another sim to my family and they ARE able to play. I don't know what's wrong with this lot and my household.

I have not tried repairing my game yet

ETA: A user on Reddit told me they had the same issue with the Ito household. I took my sims over to check it out and I can confirm I have the same issue on this lot also. It might be all the lots within the same area. I will check

Update: I have checked every lot within this area and none work. I have attached a file to show which lots work and which don't. Red is bugged while green are not. I've not tested all the lots, however.

    I tested this in a vanilla test game and both the chess table, and the card table worked correctly.  I tried it both ways, placing the tables in build mode before I traveled there and then adding another of each after I got there by going to build, adding the tables and chair and going back to live.  No problem.  My test family was the Itos.  I also tested this on their home lot, and everything also worked.

    That leads me to think that you might have something in your mods folder that is causing your issue.  So, try moving your mods folder to your desktop and try using the tables without any mods or CC in the game.  If it still happens without your mods folder in, then try a game repair from the Origin or EA App.  If the issue does go away without your mods folder in the game, then something in your mods folder is causing it and you will need to hunt whatever it is down and either update it or delete it.  I would look first at anything you have that affects logic as that is the skill those tables give you when you play them.

    I'm afraid it didn't work. My mods folder was already moved out, but a repair fixed nothing. The issue only exists in those locations and this family. Does not seem to occur with other families in these locations or other locations with this family. Quite odd. 

    I will try uploading the family to my library and re downloading 

    I would attach a save file, but I don't know how to find the file in which this game is saved

    So I decided to uninstall and re-install my game. I'm hoping it will also fix the missing chair swatch issue too (though I am not holding my breath on that one).

    During the re-installation of the base game, I got an error saying Origin was unable to download my game. I pressed the okay button and it is still downloading. I have nearly all the packs so it'll take a million years to complete, but I thought I'd mention this now.

    I looked into the error and [this link] mentions internet ports. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing with them so when the time comes, would it be okay to ask for some guidance?

    Edit: Okay so game uninstalled and re-installed fixed my initial issue, even with that error I got while downloading. I went to repair the game and I got the error again. Not sure what is causing this error now, after having fixed a (probably) unrelated issue

    I'm having the exact same issue. Can't play chess and I haven't even added any mods or anything. It has to be a game error
